Brow Sculpt Lamination FAQs

WHY CAN'T I GET MY BROWS WET AFTER LAMINATION?

Similar to a lash lift, keeping your brows dry in the 24 hours following your lamination treatment is very important. During the lamination process, we use an assortment of creams as well as a permanent gel to relax and shape your brows. If you get your eyebrows wet too soon after we finish applying these products, your brows do not have a chance to set with their new shape.

HOW TO PREP FOR A BROW LAMINATION

Prior to your brow lamination appointment, we recommend the following:

Avoid using exfoliants, retinoids, or AHAs on your face for one to two weeks before your brow lamination.

Avoid tweezing at least one week prior to your appointment (if you're interested, we do offer the option to add on a brow wax to your lamination appointment)

Please come to your appointment without any makeup on your face

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BROWS AFTER BROW LAMINATION

Brow Lamination "Don'ts" in the First 24 Hours after Treatment:

Don't get your eyebrows wet (avoid the shower & bath)

Don't go into a sauna

Don't use oil based products

Don't apply heavy creams, makeup, or makeup remover to your brows

Don't sleep directly on your brows (we know, easier said than done for our stomach sleepers)

CAN I HAVE BROW LAMINATION DONE OVER MY MICROBLADED EYEBROWS?

Absolutely! Brow Lamination is a perfect service for someone who has *healed* microbladed eyebrows. To be sure the brows are healed, we ask that you haven't been microbladed in the last 8 weeks. You will also want to be sure that you aren't due for a touch up on your microblading for at least 6-8 weeks after the Brow Lift.

IS BROW LAMINATION A GOOD FIT IF I HAVE SPARSE BROWS?

Brow lamination is a perfect service for sparse brows! Everyone wants fuller, thicker-looking brows, however, microblading isn't the best option for everyone, but Brow Lamination is! During the service we style the brows to make them appear fuller, for our clients with sparse brows - you'll be surprised how many hairs are actually there to help the brow lift! As you are seeing all these hairs, keep in mind that once they are tinted they will appear even fuller and thicker!

HOW LONG DOES BROW LAMINATION LAST?

Similar to lash or hair extensions, brow lamination requires styling and upkeep for longevity. In the morning, it's important to style/brush your brows back into the full lamination position. If you're following all the aftercare instructions, Brow Lifts should last 6-8 weeks!

WHO CAN PERFORM THE TREATMENT?

There are lots of DIY kits on the market to keep up with the current beauty trends. However, we believe that these treatments should ONLY be performed safely by licensed estheticians and cosmetologists and those who have been trained to use the products properly. As always, it is better to be safe than sorry and you should always strive for quality rather than a quick fix!

IS BROW LAMINATION WORTH IT?

Yes, yes and YES! We are in love with the way this treatment makes your brows look. It is versatile in the sense that you can style your brows in various ways such as brushed up or brushed down. We are constantly amazed at how you can go from having thin, unsymmetrical brows to full, defined, fluffy brows without adding any hair! How this illusion happens is almost like magic and we are here for it!

DOES BROW LAMINATION HURT?

Absolutely not! If you do feel any pain the treatment should be stopped immediately as this treatment is completely pain-free!

Be sure to follow the "Don'ts" mentioned in HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BROWS AFTER BROW LAMINATION for longevity.

In the 48 hours following your treatment, you can apply a hydrating balm or a castor oil to your brows daily. We also recommend brushing your brows in an upright/styled position anytime following a shower (or after getting your brows wet) to help keep their new shape.
